The latest edition of the U.S. News & World Report America’s Best Graduate Schools was announced today and includes several University of Oregon programs from the School of Law, College of Education and the College of Arts and Sciences. The 2014 edition reinforces several Top 10 programs for the UO as key strength areas.

The College of Education graduate program tied for the No. 2 public institution and the No. 8 university overall. In addition, the COE faculty continue to lead the nation in funded research per faculty member ($965,800 in 2014) for the sixth straight year. The Special Education program again ranked No. 3 among all universities and No. 2 among public institutions. This is the 14th year that Special Education has ranked No. 3 in the U.S.
For the sixth year, the UO School of Law has three Top 10-ranked specialty programs – a distinction shared by only nine universities, including Georgetown, University of California at Berkeley, Harvard and Northwestern among others. Legal Research and Writing is ranked No. 5 for the third year; Environmental and Natural Resources Law is No. 8; and Appropriate Dispute Resolution is No. 7.
The College of Arts and Sciences’ psychology program moved up six positions to No. 30 (tied with seven institutions) with an increased average assessment score from the previous U.S. News rankings.
