Men in the United States, regardless of race or culture, are continuing to do more at home with their children, says UO Provost Scott Coltrane in a June 5 story on National Public Radio.
The NPR story reported Pew Research Center findings that show the number of dads staying home to watch their children has doubled in the last 20 years. Coltrane, a sociologist who has extensively studied the role of men at home, also backed up the study's finding that many men doing so are out of work.
