The Office of the Provost is taking campus comments on a report assessing the university’s information technology operations, including recommendations for improving the campus technology services.
The report by IT consultant Harvey Blustain suggests that a more centralized system would improve the delivery of services, increase efficiency and decrease institutional risk. The report is available on Provost Scott Coltrane’s website.
Comments will be open through 5 p.m. Sept. 30 and can be submitted using an online comment form.
Also, interim Chief Information Officer Chris Krabiel and Dean of Libraries Adriene Lim will continue to meet with IT staff to review the report findings, answer questions and take comments. Those comments and those submitted online will be used to guide a final recommendation for UO President Michael Schill.
More information on the proposed next steps in the IT project are available on the IT Strategic Plan website.
