Data assessment continues on faculty salary equity study

The faculty salary equity study launched earlier this year continues as the faculty work group formed by the provost evaluates data analysis conducted by an outside firm and acquires additional information for review.

After reviewing the regression analysis completed in the study, the work group will conduct further research regarding salary variances among faculty members that are not explained by the regression analysis. This research will inform the work group’s understanding of identified salary differences and any recommended action.

The salary equity project is expected to continue into 2019 as data review and assessment continues. The work group will provide periodic updates as progress is made.

The provost is charged with making final determinations regarding the vendor’s study, evaluating the data and determining next steps. To ensure faculty member input on the issue, the provost has convened the faculty work group to assist with the study, which includes five tenure-track faculty members, including two nominated by United Academics.

More information about the study is available on the Office of the Provost website.
