Associate Vice President and Dean of Students Kris Winter invites all faculty and staff to nominate outstanding students for university awards. Students are also welcome to nominate other students or themselves.
The nomination deadline has been extended to the end of day Feb. 23. The nomination form is available online.
Comments on the nomination form will be shared with the awarded student; however, nominators may remain anonymous upon request. Faculty and staff can nominate up to five students per form and may fill out the form multiple times if they wish to nominate additional students.
The awards honor student leaders across campus who, in addition to being outstanding academically, serve the campus in leadership and service positions. Those who are chosen for the major university awards are generally students who lead or coordinate initiatives, activities and programs that benefit the campus community. The awards are highly competitive.
The university also honors the top academically outstanding students who also have been highly involved in activities on campus and may have been considered for major awards. Those students receive the Centurion Award.
