The University of Oregon will conduct an employee engagement survey from Feb. 23 through March 9, in partnership with Gallup. Engagement is a key part of the university’s strategic goal to create a flourishing community, and it gives us a shared way to understand and improve the experience of the people who work here.
In the coming weeks, you’ll receive more information about engagement and the UO-Gallup survey. Thank you in advance for participating in the survey.
Survey details
- Who: All faculty, classified staff, officers of administration and graduate employees.
- When: Feb. 23-March 9.
- How: You will receive a personalized survey link by email on Feb. 23.
- Time commitment: The survey takes approximately 10-15 minutes to complete.
- Confidentiality: Your responses are confidential. The university will receive the results in aggregate and will never have access to individual responses.
The survey uses Gallup’s research-based engagement model along with University of Oregon–specific questions focused on employee flourishing.
What happens after the survey
The engagement survey is a starting point for teams and units to have conversations and plan next steps, rather than an end to itself.
- Survey results will be shared with units in the spring.
- Units will receive support and a framework to identify straightforward next steps.
- Our Engagement Champions Network of faculty and staff from across the university will support communication and follow-through.
