Excess office supplies are available to campus community

The ROSE Room now has open hours for spring term in Room 182, Prince Lucien Campbell Hall. The free store, known formally as the Reusable Office Supplies Exchange, is a room where staff and students can pick up or donate office items or school supplies.

The space has been redesigned and is staffed by student employees from the Student Sustainability Center.

For the remainder of spring term, the hours will be:

  • Monday 3:30-4:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday 2-3 p.m.
  • Wednesday 11 a.m.-noon.
  • Thursday 1-3:30 p.m.
  • Friday 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

During the times that the ROSE Room is closed, the key can be borrowed from the English department office during its open hours. Room 182 is located near the northwest corner of Room 180, near the stairs by Kincaid Street. Users must have UO ID to use the program.

The Student Sustainability Center is holding a move-out supply drive starting June 5 in its office in Room 005, Erb Memorial Union. It is accepting school and office supplies and household items in good condition, which will be added to the ROSE Room inventory.

Anyone with questions about what items can be accepted can email sscreusables@uoregon.edu. Larger items such as desks and chairs can be obtained at the UO Surplus location at the Romania Warehouse.

The ROSE Room has been in operation at the University of Oregon since 1992 and is a collaboration between Zero Waste and the Student Sustainability Center.
