Employees who drive to the Eugene campus can purchase a fall academic term parking permit online. Parking lots are divided into 10 different zones by location, and permits are offered at three different price points.
Current summer permit holders can renew starting Aug. 14. During a “swap week” starting Aug. 21, spring and summer permit holders can switch to a new parking zone if availability exists. Sales to employees who currently do not hold a permit start Aug. 28.
Fall term permits become active Sept. 18 and expire Dec. 24. Payroll deduction and student billing will be available until Sept. 5 at 10 a.m.
Transportation Services encourages employees to consider free options of getting to campus if possible, including using Lane Transit District buses, walking, or riding a bicycle. Bike registration is free and strongly encouraged.
To remove barriers to not having a car on campus, the University of Oregon offers an emergency ride home program in the event of a qualifying emergency. Another option is Duck Rides, a free transportation service operating from 6 p.m. to midnight while classes are in session.
