Get trained by experts on using and applying the UO brand

University Communications provides training to employees about the University of Oregon brand. The first session of fall term is Oct. 22 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Ford Alumni Center. A Zoom option is also available. Registration is now open.

The UO launched its refreshed brand in August with newly aligned brand messaging, updated design elements and more. Learn how to apply the refreshed brand in your work. Those who attended a previous session are welcome to sign up.

This training is for faculty and staff whose primary position is not in marketing and communications but have job responsibilities related to communications or regularly apply the UO brand in their work.

The 90-minute gathering is an opportunity to learn about compliance, how to incorporate the university’s intellectual property into departmental work and have questions answered by the UO brand experts. The training covers a range of topics, including visual identity, logos and marks, trademark and licensing, and ordering merchandise.

Upcoming sessions for fall term are Nov. 16 and Dec. 10. Registration will open about one month prior to each session date and will be mentioned in the Workplace newsletter. Employees only need to attend one session.
