Over the past 100 years, immigrants from Mexico have filled important roles in the American labor and cultural scenes, even as they faced discrimination and marginalization in many places.

UO history professor Julie Weise recently discussed that history with Frank Stasio on the public radio program The State of Things, at station WUNC in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She spoke about the waves of immigrants who came to the United States in the years following the 1910 Mexican Revolution.
