Onyx Bridge waste facility to undergo major refit

Campus Planning and Facilities Management has updated its running list of closures and other activities that affect travel, access and planning on campus.

Employees can stayed informed by visiting the campus closures, shutdowns and detours website or by checking the UO campus map construction impacts.

The latest notifications include:

New:      

• Frohnmayer Music Room 173 closed due to falling fire insulation.
• Millrace Studio 3 emergency shutdown of the HVAC system for the dark room.
• 1715 Franklin east entrance glass to be replaced above the main doors, Sept. 16.
• Klamath Hall Room 245 fume hood replacement and duct work, Sept. 17-29.
• Lewis Integrative Science Building and Klamath Hall lab vacuum shut down for pipe work, Sept. 22.
• Onyx Bridge hazardous waste collection suspended and facility closed, Oct. 2-24.

Updated:

• Dates changed by one week: Onyx Bridge rooms 72-76 renovation will update the EH&S waste facilities area, Sept. 22-Jan. 26, 2026.
• End date adjustment: Portland Holman North and South Apartments window and exterior siding replacement, through Oct. 21.
