A guest viewpoint by University of Oregon President Michael Gottfredson appeared in The Register-Guard Sept. 29.
In it, Gottfredson identifies construction projects, changes in governance, contract agreements with faculty and staff and new scholarships as examples of "significant change" for the university.
"Throughout, everything we do is directed with a singular focus toward a clear, noble purpose that remains unwavering: to enhance the quality of this great public university; support research, innovation and discoveries that enlighten the world; and provide access to outstanding educational experiences to the citizens of Oregon," Gottfredson writes, in the viewpoint.
