The Office of the Provost has sent a reminder regarding updated course requirements for new course proposals.

During the 2017-18 academic year, the University Senate approved changes to core education group and multicultural courses, previously known as general education group and multicultural courses, that will go into effect in fall 2019. However, any new course proposals submitted during the 2018-19 academic year will also need to meet the new requirements to be approved by the UO Committee on Courses.

The Office of the Provost is planning to host workshops to provide guidance to faculty members developing courses to meet the new requirements. The workshops are anticipated to start in winter 2019.
