Oregon senior middle distance runner Laura Roesler was named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-America Second Team, Thursday.

Roesler graduated with a 3.54 GPA in psychology, and was named the Pac-12 Scholar-Athlete of the Year earlier this season.

The senior from Fargo, N.D., has been outstanding both in the classroom and on the track, winning both the indoor and outdoor 800-meter titles in 2014. She finished her career at Oregon as the most decorated All-American in track and field history with 17 honors.

Roesler will be competing at the USATF Outdoor Championships in Sacramento, Calif., this weekend.
