Oregon Law Professor Suzanne E. Rowe was awarded the 2014 University of Oregon Thomas F. Herman Achievement Award for Excellence in Pedagogy at the School of Law commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17.
The Distinguished Teaching Awards Committee selected Rowe for this year’s award for her expertise in legal writing and research based on her outstanding leadership as the director of the Legal Research and Writing Program and as the James L. and Ilene R. Hershner Professor.
Under Rowe’s leadership, the Legal Writing and Research Program is currently ranked the fourth best legal writing program in the nation by U.S. News and World Report, and has been ranked in the top 10 for the past seven years.
