Following a national search, Ryan Garrity will be the next associate vice president and university registrar.
A seasoned national and international leader, Garrity brings more than 20 years of experience in registrar operations, enrollment management and academic policy. He most recently served as university registrar at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans and previously held leadership roles at Tulane University and the American International University in Kuwait. In addition to his administrative leadership, Garrity is an experienced educator and currently teaches undergraduate history courses as an adjunct professor at Tulane University.
Garrity will begin his transition to the UO in April and is expected to be on campus, full time in July. During this transition, Julia Pomerenk will remain with UO in a part-time capacity to provide continuity and support until Garrity is fully on board.
