While no one has (yet) written a “Symphony for Ducks,” the UO School of Music and Dance and Eugene Symphony are joining up to offer the next best thing.

On Thursday, Nov. 12, the University of Oregon Symphony Orchestra will take the stage with the Eugene Symphony to present largest-ever orchestra performance at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. And to make it even more special, UO students, faculty and staff can enjoy it for a special price.

Students can attend for $10 by showing a valid UO ID card when buying tickets in advance or at the door. UO faculty and staff can get a 10 percent discount by entering the code GODUCKS when buying online or when they mention the catch phrase at the ticket window.

The combined symphonies will perform Edgard Varèse’s “Ameriques,” Charles Ives’ “The Unanswered Question” and Antonin Dvorák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”
