University of Oregon departments and programs are invited to submit project proposals for the 2026-27 Financial Stewardship Institute. Proposals are due Oct. 30.
Institute participants work in teams to research real-world challenges and develop practical recommendations. Projects may focus on improving processes, using resources more effectively, reducing costs or operational risks, evaluating revenue opportunities or assessing costs and tradeoffs.
Previous projects have explored topics ranging from Student Food Pantry cost projections and campuswide translation services to enterprise workflow systems and records management.
Good projects involve a complex question that would benefit from research, analysis and fresh perspectives. Sponsoring departments provide initial context, serve as a resource to the project team and attend the capstone presentation in March.
