Two members of the UO's Center for Brain Injury Research and Training, along with a Eugene doctor, have penned a guest commentary in the Register-Guard on the incidence and indicators of concussions, as well as the importance of managing such brain injuries.

Center co-directors Ann Glang and Bonnie Todis collaborated with Dr. Michael Koester, who specializes in concussion management at Slocum Center for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, on the March 20 article, "Recognition is key in dealing with concussions."

The Center for Brain Injury Research and Training is based in Research, Innovation, and Graduate Education (RIGE) at the UO. Among the center's focus on brain injuries is the development of training activities that promote the use of best practices among educators and other professionals who serve individuals with traumatic brain injuries.
