Against the backdrop of Constitution Day on Tuesday, Sept. 17, the University of Oregon School of Law will present a discussion of "National Security and the Constitution: Reflections on Constitutional Issues Raised by Wikileaks, Cyberspying and the War on Terror."

The panel features U.S. Constitution experts Dave Frohnmayer, Oregon law school professor and university president emeritus; Ofer Raban, Oregon law school associate professor and Elmer Sahlstrom Senior Faculty Fellow; and Dan Tichenor, Philip H. Knight Professor of Social Science and Senior Faculty Fellow at the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics.

The panel will reflect on constitutional issues raised by the war on terror, including the Wikileaks and National Security Agency leak scandals and the evolution of presidential powers in the name of national security.

The event starts at 12:30 p.m. in Room 184 of the Knight Law Center, 1515 Agate St, Eugene.

Constitution Day is the anniversary of the day in 1787 when the delegates to the Constitutional Convention met for the last time in Philadelphia to sign the document they created for ratification by the states.
