Provost Scott Coltrane sent the following message to campus concerning leadership office hours:

Dear Campus Community,

Our campus is facing challenges, which have been highlighted by the events of the past few weeks. Students, faculty and staff have come forward to express feeling concerned, vulnerable, or threatened by heightened rhetoric and actions following the election and racist activities in our community and around the nation. The University of Oregon remains strongly committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and global engagement. UO leadership condemns acts of bias, threats or any effort to intimidate or harm anyone at the university.

To continue an open dialogue, members of UO leadership have scheduled open office hours over the next several weeks that are available to students, faculty and staff. These office hours offer opportunities for private conversations about ongoing concerns. While there are no easy answers to the many difficult challenges that we face as a community, leaders are available to listen and learn in order to help our campus find solutions and paths forward.

If you are unable to meet during any of the scheduled times available, feel free to reach out to individual offices to schedule an alternate time to talk.

The list of office hours are listed on the provost office webpage and updated as needed through the end of fall term.
