UO School of Law to host Sports and Entertainment Law Conference in Portland Feb. 28

The University of Oregon School of Law will welcome big names from the sports and entertainment industries during its fourth annual Sports and Entertainment Law Conference on Friday, Feb. 28, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Moda Center in Portland.

The conference will feature industry experts including Ken Landphere, director of Octagon Football; Matt Massari, associate general counsel for sports marketing at Nike; Paul Loving, managing shareholder of the Consul Group; Michael Cohen, president and shareholder at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt; Guy Blake, partner at Davis Shapiro & Lewit; Rhett Barney at Lee & Hayes; Nona Lee from the Arizona Diamondbacks; entertainment attorney Ed Pierson; and Maury Brown, writer for Forbes Sportsmoney. 

Lawyers, business professionals, law students and graduate students will join the experts to discuss issues facing today's professionals. The conference will also include Q-and-A sessions and an opportunity to network at an evening reception following the conference.

The Sports and Entertainment Law Conference is planned and organized by members of the School of Law's student-run Sports & Entertainment Law Forum (SELF), which is dedicated to expanding student understanding of the dynamics and issues involved with sports and entertainment law.
