An upcoming seminar for UO faculty and staff will explore people’s relationship with money and how it can be similar to relationships with other people.
The seminar, offered by the UO Office of Human Resources, happens Thursday, Feb. 15, from noon to 1 p.m. in Crater Lake Room North, Room 146, in the Erb Memorial Union. Registration for the event is available online.
The seminar will provide tools to help people think about money in different ways. The seminar is not designed to be a budgeting workshop or provide financial advice of any kind but rather assist faculty and staff in managing active sources of stress in their lives.
HR is partnering with Cascade Centers, the UO’s employee assistance provider, to offer a series of seminars. Each free seminar focuses on a different aspect of personal well-being.
Each seminar will be broadcasted live to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston. Following each seminar a recording of the presentation will be posted to the HR website.
Previous seminars are available for viewing on the Recorded Wellness Presentations webpage. More information about the seminars and the next installment of the wellness seminar series, which will be offered March 22, are available on the HR website.
In addition to offering confidential counseling, Cascade Centers offers webinars on a variety of topics. More information about the university employee assistance program is available on the HR website.
