The search for the next two resident scholars at the Wayne Morse Center for Law and Politics is about to begin, with the application deadline arriving Friday, Jan. 8.
The resident scholar program provides grants to a UO faculty member from the School of Law and a faculty member from another UO department for research toward the center’s program in politics and policy or its current theme of inquiry, the future of public education.
Along with research, resident scholars work with Morse Center Codirector Rebecca Flynn and Senior Scholar Dan Tichenor to produce research and papers that benefit the resident scholar’s work and future programs and themes for the center.
Details on the application process and required materials are available here. Applicants should email materials to Ellen Herman, the center’s faculty codirector, by 3 p.m. Friday.
Deadlines for other Wayne Morse Center funding programs are also approaching. Applications for 2016-17 project grants are due by Jan. 22, and applications for the Graduate Research Fellows program are due by Jan. 29
