Wellness seminar focuses on relationship check-in approach

An upcoming wellness seminar offers employees insight into developing and maintaining relationships throughout their life.

The “Building Healthy Relationships” presentation takes place Thursday, Oct. 25, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Erb Memorial Union, Crater Lake North Room.

The Office of Human Resources is making use of the expertise of a University of Oregon faculty member for the wellness seminar. Tiffany Brown, clinical director of the Couple and Family Therapy graduate program and a senior lecturer in the Department of Counseling Psychology and Human Services, will guide faculty and staff members through the relationship check-in approach, which is applicable to all types of relationships. This approach is built on communication theory and an evidence-based couples therapy model.

The seminar is free and open to all faculty and staff. It will be broadcast live via a webinar to UO Portland and the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology in Charleston.

More information about each session and registration instructions are available on the wellness seminar series webpage.
