The University of Oregon’s 149th commencement ceremony will celebrate the achievements of 5,513 graduates at Autzen Stadium on Monday, June 15. Gates open at 7 a.m. and the program begins at 9 a.m.
Read on for information about parking, transportation and other logistics for this year’s ceremonies and celebrations.
Parking and transportation
Graduates and guests for the main ceremony must park at or find transportation to Autzen Stadium, 2727 Leo Harris Parkway. Carpooling and rideshare are highly encouraged. There will be no public parking on the Eugene campus (except at designated ADA lots). Free shuttles from Autzen to the Eugene campus will begin after the ceremony and run continuously throughout the day.
- Parking lots at Autzen Stadium open at 6 a.m. and stadium gates open at 7 a.m. Students are seated as they arrive. The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. and is expected to last 90 minutes.
- Parking is available in the Millrace Garage, 1625 Millrace Drive. A free shuttle to Autzen will begin at 6:30 a.m. From this lot, attendees can also enjoy a walk through a woodsy area and over the Willamette River to Autzen, alongside graduating students. In the afternoon, guests can use the Matthew Knight Arena shuttle stop and enjoy a short walk back to Millrace. For those with mobility needs, the university’s accessible shuttle will provide transportation back to Millrace.
- Parking is also available in the PacificSource North Lot, 555 International Way in Springfield. A free shuttle to Autzen will begin at 6:30 a.m. This lot is ideal for those traveling via I-5, as it allows guests to quickly exit the freeway, park and shuttle to Autzen while avoiding much of the day’s traffic. This park-and-ride location is also close to food options and allows for an easier return trip home after ceremonies. Shuttles will run continuously between PacificSource and Autzen throughout the day.

Other logistics
- A clear bag policy is in effect for Autzen Stadium, Matthew Knight Arena and Hayward Field. Guests are limited to one clear bag per person, along with a small clutch or purse for medical needs.
- Graduates will gather at the Moshofsky Center Plaza beginning at 7 a.m. Students will be seated as they arrive through the west tunnel and will be displayed on jumbotrons inside the stadium.
- The main commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on the UOregon YouTube channel.
- Marlee Matlin, actor, activist and mother of a 2026 UO graduate, will be the keynote speaker.
- Ceremonies for schools and colleges will follow the main commencement ceremony, taking place on the same day in locations around the Eugene campus.
- In addition to the schools and colleges, other celebrations mark the accomplishments of identity-based or military-affiliated student groups, including ¡Sí, se pudo! (Latiné graduation celebration), Black Graduation Celebration and Lavender Graduation Celebration, all June 14, and the Military Connected Graduation Celebrations, June 13.
- The School of Law celebrated its 140th graduating class at its commencement ceremony May 16.
Grad Fest, alumni events and more
In between ceremonies, join the university community in celebrating commencement at Grad Fest, a celebratory reception at Autzen Stadium after the main ceremony. Graduates, along with their families and friends, are invited to gather with faculty and peers from their school or college to enjoy refreshments, photo opportunities and a festive atmosphere to continue the day’s celebration.
- Additionally, there will be a Graduate and Family Lounge in the Ford Alumni Center, 1720 East 13th Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offered by the University of Oregon Alumni Association, the lounge will provide a welcoming space where guests can rest, recharge and connect over light snacks and refreshments.
- Both the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and Museum of Natural and Cultural History are open with free admission on commencement day June 15.
Volunteer at commencement
To help the day run smoothly, UO employees are encouraged to volunteer. Tasks include organizing graduates during the procession into Autzen, greeting guests with programs, helping guests at shuttle stops and assisting at school and college ceremonies. Sign-up ends June 9.
