U.S. Sen. Ron Wyden will receive the 14th annual Frohnmayer Award for Public Service at a reception following the symposium. Both events are in Portland.

This is the first year that any Oregon university has hosted the regional conference, which has been held annually since 1966.

The program will relocate its master’s degree program from the Eugene campus to the UO in Portland beginning fall term 2016.

The UO in Portland connects students to mentoring, networking and internship opportunities, and primarily offers master’s programs.

In addition to his campus appearance, Ogletree also will speak at the First Congregational Church in Portland on Wednesday, Nov. 11.

The UO historian and LERC director, author of ‘Fighting for Total Person Unionism,’ will hold events in Eugene and Portland.

While the economy has rebounded in many ways since the downturn in 2008-09, many people continue to feel insecure about the recovery.

The UO recently hosted Partners in Diversity at the Portland campus, where Yvette Alex-Assensoh welcomed the group and discussed networking.

Jane Gordon will take over as vice provost for Portland and Jim Terborg will step in at the Lundquist College of Business.

Dean Kees de Kluyver has prepared the Lundquist College of Business for growth and continued excellence.
