The UO's Science Library is currently featuring a display on fun local hikes, for those looking to get outdoors this spring. Some of the hikes are in the middle of town, and others are within an hour drive of Eugene.
The display explains which plants are blooming and where, and offers brochures to help with various hikes.
The display is expected to be active for only a few weeks. The Science Library is in Room B90 of Onyx Bridge.

A Eugene man was found guilty today (April 30) of sex crimes on the University of Oregon campus last August.
Christopher Warren Mack, 35, will be sentenced on May 2 after being convicted in Lane County Circuit Court on one count of first-degree sexual abuse and two counts each of third-degree sexual abuse and public indecency. The charges stemmed from incidents in the summer of 2012 in which he "groped" UO students on campus.
First-degree sexual abuse carries a mandatory minimum sentence of six years in state prison, under Oregon's Measure 11.

She is director of the department's Developmental Social Neuroscience Lab.

Twenty lucky Ducks got help with textbook costs last month, courtesy of The Duck Store and Enrollment Management.
Roger Thompson, vice president for Enrollment Management assisted to The Duck Store in handing out $5,000 worth of academic supply cards to students. Twenty students received a card in the amount of $250 each to be used toward textbooks and other academic supplies.
Michael Andreasen had a simple and straightforward message to former University Relations staff members as he welcomed them Thursday morning under the new University Advancement umbrella.
"We serve the purpose of the academy; we take our directions from the academy," said Andreasen, the University of Oregon vice president who previously headed University Development and now leads University Advancement – a consolidation of University Relations and Development.
