The University of Oregon’s office for Research, Innovation and Graduate Education (RIGE) has released its annual report for 2012, which is available online.

Human Resources will sponsor an invitation-only event to recognize classified employees who have university service of 25 years or longer, from noon to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Knight Library Browsing Room.
The University of Oregon climbed to No. 8 in the Peace Corps’ 2013 Top Colleges rankings, a jump of two spots that reflected the university’s long-standing commitment to international service.

Seattle-based choreographer Mark Haim joins an eclectic evening of dance presented by the UO’s Department of Dance Feb. 14-16.
The department will present Dance 2013, the annual faculty dance concert, at 8 p.m. on those nights in the Robinson Theatre in the Miller Theater Complex on the UO campus.

Jacobs, in his first year at the UO, says the orchestra has been focusing this year on standard masterworks. Symphony #2 is Sibelius' most significant large-scale work for orchestra.

The University of Oregon-based Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC) is continuing to cultivate its relationships with universities and education networks in Morocco, which grew out of a training and engineering trip to the northwest African country last spring.
The NSRC has been asked by the Moroccan Research and Education Network (MARWAN) director to provide engineering assistance to additional Moroccan universities and to organize a joint training session – this one on advanced routing, peering and building Internet Exchange Points (IXP).
