Art in the Attic, an annual fundraiser for the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, returns to the Oakway Center Heritage Courtyard on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Art and décor from homes throughout the community will be on sale with all proceeds benefiting the museum’s educational programs.
Organized by the Friends of the JSMA, Art in the Attic gives the community an opportunity to buy previously owned treasures at great prices. The Friends of the JSMA — formerly known as the Gourmet Group — have been fundraising for museum programs for almost four decades.
In 2015, Art in the Attic raised nearly $5,000 to support the museums’ educational programs, including Fill up The Bus, outreach activities, school tours and scholarships for camps and classes. The museum serves more than 4,000 K-12 students annually through the school tour program.
