Architect and artist Maya Lin will give a lecture at the Erb Memorial Union Ballroom on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m.
Lin, designer of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, is a guest at the 26th annual Oregon Humanities Center's 2014-15 O'Fallon Memorial Lecture in Art and American Culture series.
Lin's latest work, the Confluence Project, involves outdoor installations in Washington and Oregon along the Columbia River. Another recent project, What is Missing?, speaks about a loss of habitat and species.
Lin's lecture is free and open to the public.
