The UO is hosting a town hall meeting for international, undocumented and concerned students to discuss potential changes to immigration rules and practices.
The event begins at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 30, in the Erb Memorial Union ballroom. Faculty, staff and community members are welcome.
A panel of experts, including professor Maria Blanco, executive director of the Undocumented Legal Services Center at the University of California, Davis, will address questions surrounding current immigration policies and proposed changes to legislation.
Other panelists are Betsy Boyd, UO associate vice president for federal affairs; Rosa Chavez-Jacuinde, associate director of the Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence; and Jennifer Doreen, international employment specialist.
The event is sponsored by the UO Office of International Affairs, Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence, Center on Diversity and Community, and Department of Ethnic Studies.
