Carol Stabile, who spent the last two years as the associate dean for strategic initiatives for the College of Arts and Sciences, has been named interim dean of the Clark Honors College.
Provost and Senior Vice President Patrick Phillips announced Stabile’s appointment earlier this month, saying her experience and record of academic excellence make her an easy choice to serve as interim dean. Stabile replaces Gabe Paquette, who recently was named vice provost for academic affairs in the Office of the Provost.
“Carol has extensive, interdisciplinary history at UO,” Phillips said in his announcement. “She will bring a strong and resourceful approach to guiding the CHC, and she will continue the work that former Dean Gabe Paquette and his team have worked on over the last two years.”
