Sept. 1 — Elizabeth “Birdie” Shirtcliff, a courtesy research professor in the Center for Translational Neuroscience, was named editor in chief for Psychoneuroendocrinology and its companion journal, Comprehensive Psychoneuroendocrinology. An Elsevier journal associated with the International Society for Psychoneuroendocrinology, the journal has been publishing since 1975.
July 19 — Kate Mondloch, professor of contemporary art and theory in the Department of the History of Art and Architecture and faculty in residence in the Clark Honors College, received the 2022 Faculty Excellence in Universal Design award given by the Accessible Education Center.
July 11 — Nicole Dahmen, professor of journalism, was named Teacher of the Year by the Scripps Howard Foundation. The foundation supports philanthropic causes, with a special emphasis on journalism education, excellence in journalism and childhood literacy.
July 11 — Yeling Tan, assistant professor of political science, has earned the Peter Katzenstein Book Prize for “Disaggregating China, Inc. State Strategies in the Liberal Economic Order.” The Cornell University award recognizes an outstanding first book in international relations, comparative politics or political economy.
