The Duck community is getting ready to flock together for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic. As students, faculty members and staff prepare for in-person classes this fall, the University of Oregon is asking them to share what excites them about being on campus.
The university is seeking photo submissions from the UO community highlighting the people, places and things they’re looking forward to on campus as we move #ForwardTogether into a new future. Select submissions will be featured on UO social media channels in the coming weeks.
"I look forward to being in the laboratory and in the classroom alongside my colleagues and students, while encouraging everyone to stay healthy and get vaccinated." Jennifer B. Phillips, research associate.
Some view the return to campus as a chance reunite with old friends and rediscover favorite local haunts. Others will get to experience campus life and traditions for the first time.
"I'm most excited about walking around campus and seeing colleagues and students that I haven't seen in person since the start of the pandemic,” said Matt Marcott, center coordinator, Center for Multicultural Academic Excellence. “Visiting the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is also high on my list of things to do this fall."
To participate, submit a photo and a few words about what you’re looking forward to.
