The Division of Equity and Inclusion is encouraging members the campus community to nominate a colleague for the University of Oregon's Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Award. The nomination deadline is 5 p.m. Nov. 11.
The award is presented annually to an UO employee, whose activities embody King’s values. The award recognizes individuals who work diligently through a commitment to cultural diversity and the promotion of cultural awareness to enhance equity and inclusion on campus.
All classified staff, officers of administration, faculty members and other UO employees are eligible. Nominations will be accepted via an online link.
The award celebration is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, in the Ford Alumni Center. More information is available on the DEI website, or by contacting inclusiongtf@uoregon.edu or 541-346-317.
