The Department of Physical Education and Recreation is offering free Pilates–Yoga Fusion classes for faculty, staff and graduate students twice a week during winter term, led by instructor Michie Kawada.
The class combines Pilates-based exercises with yoga practice to improve muscular strength and endurance, flexibility and balance, while supporting mind-body connection and stress reduction. No prior experience is necessary.
Classes take place Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 12:45 p.m. in the Woodruff Gymnasium (220 Gerlinger Hall), starting Jan. 5. Participants should bring a yoga mat (a limited number are available to borrow) and wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement; dressing in layers is recommended.
