Regular walks are one of the easiest ways to boost mood and stay healthy. Walktober is the name of a local program from We Walk Lane County to encourage walking for fun, exercise or errands.
Invite a coworker and choose a trip from the walk list. From a DIY jaunt around a Eugene park or a stroll to view art, the calendar has something for every interest and level.
Those who want to stick close to campus can choose from these walks:
- UO Historic Buildings Walk
- Bird Tour at the UO
- Run, Walk and Roll with The Duck 5k
Other parts of the program include a Coffee Shop Hop (and tea) passport and an opportunity to host a walk.
Walktober is organized by Lane Council of Governments and UO Transportation Services is one of the planning partners.
