Move-out, track and graduation will make for a busy week

With end-of-year moving, an NCAA track championship and commencement coming almost back-to-back, a busy week of traffic and parking around the University of Oregon ahead.

Annual move-out of almost 4,000 students from the UO residence halls runs Monday, June 8, to Sunday, June 14; the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships will be at Hayward Field Wednesday, June 10, through Saturday, June 13; and UO commencement is Monday, June 15.

UO faculty and staff should be aware of increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic around the residence halls and Hayward Field. Everyone in the university community is encouraged to use alternate transportation this week. Drivers should avoid East 13th and 15th avenues and parking lots located near residence halls.

Changes to traffic patterns include:

• From June 10 to June 12, bike lanes on Agate Street between East 13th and 15th avenues will be closed for vehicle loading.
• From June 10 to June 12, East 15th Avenue between Agate and University streets will be one-way heading west and the metered parking will be reserved for move-out.
• On June 15, 13th Avenue from University Street to Franklin Boulevard will be closed for the graduation procession from about 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.

Maps for move-out are available here. University parking maps and information are at the Department of Parking and Transportation.
