A much-anticipated exhibition, "Explore Oregon," is about to open for public viewing at the UO Museum of Natural and Cultural History.
From noon to 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 30, the campus community will have the first opportunity to explore the exhibition, which spans 300 million years of Oregon's landscapes and ecosystems.
Head on over to the museum to see renditions of a massive sabertooth salmon and a 7-foot-tall replica skeleton of an ice-age Harlan's ground sloth. One section focuses on the impacts of climate change -- past and future -- on Pacific Northwest ecosystems.
The public grand opening begins with an early peek for museum members at 5 p.m., May 30, followed by a public opening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and an Open House Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, May 30-June 1.
