The search for a new chief human resources officer came to a close today, as Jamie Moffitt, vice president for finance and administration, announced that Nancy Resnick, currently associate director of human resources at Humboldt State University, has accepted the position.
In a memo distributed to faculty and staff today, Moffitt noted Resnick’s considerable experience in labor and employment issues.
“Nancy spent more than 20 years in employment law in various positions, including with private law firms, trade associations, and the Office of the Solicitor in the San Francisco office of the U.S. Department of Labor,” Moffitt wrote. “She has extensive experience in labor and employment issues, and a deep understanding of managing organizational change.”
Resnick will join the university on March 30 and lead a department that has undergone many changes in recent months.
”I am confident she will help solidify the changes currently underway in Human Resources, and lead the department to further embrace the rapidly evolving needs of our university,” Moffitt wrote.
