An exhibit of 30 color landscape photographs by Eugene photographer Michael Z. Taylor is now on view at the UO School of Law.
“Places and Things: A Road Trip” takes viewers on a journey from Oregon to Minnesota and captures the charm and mystery of everyday America.
Taylor’s photography is often inspired by his motorcycle travels across the Western states. For more than 30 years, he has immersed himself in the sights, sounds, smell and touch of the country’s frontier.
“There is nothing more immediate about a place than my first impression,” Taylor said. “The expansiveness, the colors and the natural beauty, it all fascinates me.”
The public is invited to view and take part in those experiences. The images are on display at the Oregon Law Gallery on the second floor of the Knight Law Center through Jan. 3 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
A reception with the photographer, also open to the public, will be Thursday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
