The UO School of Journalism and Communication will open a new lab for the study of media analytics and measurements thanks to a new partnership with two companies that are leaders in the field.
Rentrak, a company that tracks video programming, and Alteryx Inc., which provides data blending and advanced analytics, are joining with the school to expand teaching and research in the area of data analysis. The school also is opening the new Insights and Analytics Lab in January.
