Electrical testing days will be held on the Eugene campus Aug. 12-13. The Utilities and Energy testing days webpage is the best information source for last-minute preparation and day-of details.
Everyone on UO Alerts will receive a notification at 7:30 a.m. that testing will begin in 30 minutes. Expect and prepare for brief power outages of up to 10 seconds at any time between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. UO Alerts will also send a notification when testing is complete at the end of each day.
Technology impacts: Learn about expected network impacts, how to protect sensitive electronic devices from power outages and who is responsible for restarting tech equipment.
Elevators use during testing days: Elevators might shut down if a power glitch occurs. Please seek alternate arrangements during testing or contact your supervisor regarding accommodations.
Unaffected buildings: Numerous buildings will not be affected by testing.
