Students, staff and faculty members are invited to attend a training workshop meant to help expand dialogue and understanding about issues concerning the University of Oregon’s LGBTQIA+ community.
The Queer Ally Coalition will offer two general trainings from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 22 and March 1. Registration for the trainings is available online.
The coalition’s goal is to reduce homophobia, heterosexism and gender bias through establishing an environment of understanding and acceptance for everyone. It also offers a continuing education program for those who have completed the general training workshop and facilitator training for those who would like to become advocates and educators for the LGBTQIA+ community.
