The University of Oregon spring break runs March 21-29. With the break in the academic schedule comes changes to university campuses.
Many university buildings on the Eugene campus will be locked from March 20 at regular closing time until the morning of March 30 as part of the Safety and Risk Services holiday and academic break door lock procedure. Employees may access locked buildings with keys and prox cards or contact their supervisor to request access.
Campus Planning and Facilities Management has information on closures and major projects on the department’s construction and impacts map.
Parking may be easier to find, but all Eugene campus lots will be patrolled as usual. The Transportation Services office is open for walk-in customers, and service remains available via email and phone. Spring term parking permits are on sale now and become active March 23. Duck Rides operates only when classes are in session and will be closed from March 20-29. Ride-hailing services will continue as usual, though some LTD buses serving campus may run on limited schedules.
The Erb Memorial Union will operate with scaled-back hours and be closed March 21-22. The building will be open Saturday, March 28, but only for midyear IntroDUCKtion, so no services or vendors will be open. It will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will reopen for spring term at noon March 29.
On-campus dining options will be reduced and campus cafés will be closed. All residence hall dining venues will close March 21, reopening March 28. The UO Campus Map has a food app layer and has a feature to drop a pin in a location and to get a unique URL to send to a coworker. A few vendors in the EMU (Chipotle, Starbucks, Panda, Subway) will operate on reduced hours March 23-27.

For those working on publication jobs over the spring break, Print Services at the Baker Center will be open regular hours.
University Health Services will be closed for patient care during spring break, March 23-27. Phones will remain on to make appointments or ask questions at 541-346-2770. Mental Health Services after-hours support and crisis line will be available at 541-346-3227. All departments will reopen March 30 for spring term.
Knight Library will close early at 5 p.m. March 20 and remain closed for the weekend, March 21 and 22. During the week of spring break, Knight Library will be open 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, March 23-27, and closed on the weekend. Regular hours resume Monday, March 30. Other library locations will operate on various modified schedules over the break. Please check library hours prior to visiting.
Plan workouts around the Student Recreation Center modified hours. The rec center will be closed March 21-22 and 26-29. Memberships can be purchased for spring term.
The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is open during spring break. Exhibits on view are ReEnvisioned: Contemporary Portraits of our Black Ancestors by Jeremy Okai Davis and Roots and Resilience — Chinese American Heritage in Oregon. The final day for Roots and Resilience is March 29.
The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art will also be open regular hours. Several exhibitions will end during spring term. The museum is open late on Wednesday night.
On the UO Portland campus, the Library and Learning Center will be open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and card access only Saturday, March 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and closed Saturday, March 28. The Campus Center will be open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; it will be accessible via prox card at other times. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Innovation Building, Highland Hall and the Oregon House will have card access only. The gym will be closed during the week for construction activities.
Spring break hours will vary for technical support from the User Support Services service desks, part of Information Services. Details will be posted in the UO Service Portal for HEDCO Learning Commons, Knight Library, Lawrence Hall, Lillis Business Complex, Knight School of Law, UO Portland and the Technology Service Desk, as well as the EMU computer lab.
Tech support tickets can be submitted through the UO Service Portal 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year. UO IT staff will respond to tickets when available.
Spring term starts Monday, March 30.
