The University of Oregon Eugene campus has been pretty quiet this summer but all that is about to change during the residence hall move-in event known as Unpack the Quack. And that will affect your commute and how you move through campus.
About 5,000 students are expected to arrive throughout the week, with the bulk of students moving in Thursday, Sept. 24, and Friday, Sept. 25, depending on their assigned arrival date and check-in time.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid streets and parking lots around the residence halls starting Sept. 24. Please consider remote work and/or bus, bike or other travel means.

Here are dates and roads impacted by move-in traffic:
- Sept. 21-23:
- Agate Street bike lanes closed.
- Sept. 24-25 (map below):
- Agate Street closed between East 13th and East 18th avenues.
- East 15th and East 17th avenues closed between Moss and Agate streets.
- Lots 29A, 29D, 33, 34E, 36A reserved for move-in.
- Westbound traffic only on East 13th Avenue.
- Southbound traffic only on University Street.
Volunteers are still needed to help with the move-in process Sept. 24-25.
