The University of Oregon and the Eugene Sakya Center (Nyen-Gyud Samten Choeling for Tibetan Buddhist Studies) will be welcoming His Holiness Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, to the University of Oregon campus for a public lecture on Friday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m.
Student tickets for the 1989 Nobel Peace Laureate’s presentation will be available at no cost to incidental fee-paying students on Tuesday, March 5 beginning at 10 a.m. and will continue through Wednesday, March 6 at 10 p.m. or until supplies are exhausted. Tickets are limited and are expected to go quickly.
Students are advised to log into their online account at www.goducks.com in advance of the Tuesday distribution to ensure there are no issues with access.
To claim a ticket, students will follow the same steps as they do for football or men’s basketball game ticket distribution. After logging in, select “Arena Special Events” and then the “Dalai Lama Event.” From there, proceed through the steps to secure a ticket and make sure a confirmation page is received. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, the order may not have been completed properly.
Students who have not previously claimed a men’s basketball or football ticket may need to first register and activate their ID prior to being allowed into the ticket distribution site.
Once claimed, tickets for this event will be loaded on student IDs for those who are successful in securing a ticket.
STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR STUDENT ID TO THE EVENT – THIS IS THE ONLY WAY ENTRY TO THE ARENA WILL BE PERMITTED.
If you are unable to attend, you may return your ticket so that another student can participate. Simply log into your account, click on “My Account” then “Ticket Return,” and proceed through the steps.
