The Technology Service Desk—a free computer help desk for UO students, faculty and staff—will be moving to Prince Lucien Campbell Hall on Thursday, Aug. 23.
"After two years in the south lobby of the Computing Center, we are delighted to be moving into a more permanent home," said Sara Stubbs of Information Services. "We feel lucky to have found a space near the center of campus that's next to our partners at the Knight Library help desk and still close to our many Information Services colleagues in the Computing Center."
The front desk will be located in PLC 68, on the south side of the building's lower level, off the sunken courtyard.
The Tech Desk's last day open in the Computing Center will be Wednesday, Aug. 22. It will be closed on Thursday, Aug. 23, for the move, and will reopen in PLC at 8 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24.
The Technology Service Desk provides UO students and employees with free assistance on a range of technology topics, including email, Wi-Fi, accounts and a variety of software and devices. The Tech Desk is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., year round. It offers extended phone and email support Monday through Friday until 7 p.m. during the fall, winter and spring academic terms.
For more information, contact the Technology Service Desk by phone at 541-346-4357 or through the UO Service Portal.
