Ten members of the Oregon indoor track and field team were named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic honorees, Friday.
Seven members of the women’s team received the award. Seniors Megan Patrignelli and Laura Roesler have won the award in each of their three years of eligibility while junior Lauren Crockett also received the honor a year ago as a sophomore. First-time academic honorees include sophomores Annie Leblanc, Jenna Prandini, Molly Grabill along with redshirt freshman Brittany Mann.
Junior Parker Stinson and sophomores Bradley Laubacher and Blake Kemp picked up the academic honor from the men’s side. Stinson received the award as a sophomore in 2012 as well.
The honors are part of Oregon’s success both on and off the track, as the men’s and women’s indoor teams won National Championships in Albuquerque, N.M., this season. The national title was the fifth-straight for the women’s team, tying the longest streak in NCAA history.
Eligibility for the MPSF All-Academic award requires a 3.0 GPA, involvement in half of the team’s meets during the indoor season and at least one year of enrollment at the current institution.
